The hotel is new and was extremely clean and well appointed. We ate at the restaurant and had a delicious meal from the extensive menu. The one drawback was that there was no elevator. Even though the hotel is only two stories, this could be a problem for anyone who is handicapped unless they stay on the first floor.

New Hotel, comfortable, well located, friendly staff, free transit to and from the hotel, and free wireless internet. My room was a little small though, (maybe not totally fair if they have other rooms larger)only negative point if any.

They had the airline, the flight number, the date and my concern was that because of the late plane arrival that they would definitely be there. Well the plane was late in arriving and - you guessed it - there I was all alone in the airport in the middle of nowhere. No taxis , no shuttle buses, - it was 0130a.m. and I had no coins to make a phone call. A fellow traveler rescued me and took me to a hotel that was known to her as she had never heard of Stacio Airport hotel and I had no choice but to go there. Not a good way to treat a visitor who had no knowledge of the city or the language.

The hotel provided a shuttle to airport. The hotel was very clean, cool, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. Our only problem was getting to the hotel. The Google map directions were not correct but our cab driver knew to keep looking for a bit longer and was successful. I do not believe that we would have been able to get to the hotel from the public transportation in Budapest that we had been using very successfully for the previous 5 days.

As is the tendancy with some hotel descriptions the review of services was slightly over the top. The description implied a free transfer from the airport which was no where to be seen although I have to admit it was about 12.15 in the morning! Eventually I managed to order a transfer but had to pay around a tenner to get me to the hotel. As described there was a night receptionist but no one to help carry my bags up to the second floor. The operation of the lights via the entry card/key was not explained to me so I spent 10 minutes fumbling around in the dark trying to sort myself out. Despite these inconveniences the bed was fine and the room was large for a single and well equiped. The alarm call was half an hour late but I had left plenty of time so wasn't a problem and then my car for the transfer back to the airport was an hour early and I was phoned just as I has stepped in the shower! Breakfast was fine with a good continental selection and fine coffee. The staff were friendly and apologetic when mistakes were made over the times, check out was quick and easy. It is probably one of the nearer hotels to the airport and therefore convenient if needed although there did not appear to be much to do in the immediate area, so probably better for a short stay. Overall I would say it ticks most of the boxes and with a slight improvement in transfer facilities and staff effiency I would certainly stay again if I needed to.
