We enjoyed this hotel very much. It was a bit further from the station that we thought, but the location was delightful and it was an easy walk.
note that the woman in the tourist office at the station said the hotel was too far to walk and we
... would need to take the bus. We found this to be untrue, though transportation might have been needed it we had a lot of luggage with us. In any case, it was nice to know that if we needed to take the bus, there was a bus stop just down the street.
overall, we were pleased with the hotel location, a very nice room, the breakfast, and the friendly staff including their flexibility in accepting payment partly in cash and partly by credit card. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again if we return to bern.
