Comment on Hotel : The Ballantrae Hotel Edinburgh provided a friendly and professional service. The room (one of the nineteen in the hotel) was clean, spacious and typical of a Georgian building. Reception provided guides to the city and popular bus tours. There is a token resident bar which doesn't really live up to the name, so the hotel is quiet at night and is perfect for those requiring an early start. Continental breakfast is provided and cooked breakfasts can be ordered at an extra charge. Overall, the hotel provided a quality service at a reasonable price, particularly for a city centre location.
