Overview
The Royal Hotel Cardiff is a cool boutique-style hotel in Cardiff, the centre of wales' capital city, nichehotels re-opened the doors of a legend on St Mary street, Cardiff city centre.
This urban retreat hotel in Cardiff has 64 bedrooms, some with the most spectacular views over Cardiff city or the millennium stadium. The exterior, period features have been restored, whilst the interior has undergone a metamorphosis similar to cardiff's own.
The living space of the The Royal Hotel Cardiff in Cardiff is both elegant and subtle, using neutral tones combined with the buildings natural skeleton. The sheer decadence of wasted space in period properties on wonderfully wide corridors, large windows and conservation order protected thescottroom, creates the perfect fusion of traditional style and contemporary design.
The lounge serves classic martinis' with olives (and a few beers perhaps for the boys) but the numbers and clients are invited in. The lounge is a sanctuary for those who want to be able to hear what the other people are saying. A great staging post and retreat.
The scott room, is room flooded with natural day light and oak-panelled, capable of seating over 130 guests and a site of historical importance and protected with a conservation order. This room is where scott attended a business banquet 2 days prior to his departure to the antarctic. Restoration was completed in spring 2006.
