Also the location was perfect for getting around and the mobility ticket for free public transport is superb. The only possible comlaint was menu choice in the restaurant however the food was perfect and for more food choice there are several restaurants not more than 10 minutes walk away.

We also stayed here last year. On both occasions we were very pleased with the room. It was large and airy and very comfortable. The bathroom similarly was lovely. We appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities. I think this hotel is superior to any other we have stayed in for only one night. We did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment.

Very good to access from Basel-Mulhouse (airport), central railway (Switzerland/France/Germany) and by car with comfortable parking in the hotel.

You enter the hotel into a very modern and spartan entrance hall. Very cold looking, not very welcoming, but better than some. The staff were attentive and smiling. I stayed in the La Residence, a modern annex at the rear of the hotel. Rooms are very similar to the Holiday Inn style rooms with the usual amenities. Some of the amenities are rather old looking; the TV for example. There was also a dehumidifier or air conditioning unit in the room, which has been added as an extra, as a free standing unit. I suspect that during the summer months the room maybe too hot for some and this unit had been installed to prevent complaints. The room was quiet, but the ventilator in the bathroom was a bit noisy. The restaurant was excellent with some great food. The Maize Soup was especially good. Nice cosy atmosphere (strangely different to rest of the hotel). The bar was also nice and cosy. I took a coffee there at 10.00am the next morning and it was busy, apparently with local people. So it's quite popular. One thing I've not seen at anyother hotel, was the menu for different Steak Tartares (I think assuming I translated the menu correctly). A bit like the variations you see in German restaurants for Asperagus dishes during Spring. All in all a pleasant hotel, lacking a bit of warmth in the main part of the hotel, but friendly staff and nice food served in a cosy restaurant/bar.

It is extremely convenient, being opposite the main station, a tram terminus and the airport bus stop. Its breakfast buffet is excellent (something I always look forward to) and there is a good restaurant as well. The staff are friendly and efficient.
