great location in a tricky town Reviewer: David Unsworth Date of review: 21 February 2008 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Leisure, Romance, Couples Room Hotel Facilities 4 Bed 4 Ambience 4 Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Room Size 4 Location 4 Amenities 4 Value for Money 3 the staff were really friendly and the location is great although I didnt drive there (train for me) but if you do drive which I wouldnt necessarily recommend, you may aswell throw your map out the window and just go via the road signs. I read a previous review that mentioned a drain smell at times in the bathroom which I also encountered for which I was offered room spray but overall its a beautiful hotel with a magnificent lobby, much as you would expect for the price. Close to the Trianna district but very close to the magnificent cathedral and everythingelse you need to see (like 5 minutes by foot). Enjoy!

It lacks an area just to chill out & catch the sun. Unless you have a room with a balcony. Luckily we had the suite for a few days & this is pure luxury, private terrace, loungers & an incredible view of the cathedral which can also be viewed from the hotel terrace where we had a party. Fab!

The restaurant reception was uncertain and seemingly unprepared for us. It became clear after a while that there was a function going on elsewhere, and most of the restaurant staff were running backwards and forwards with trays of food and drinks. This was without doubt the real reason for our being relocated, and I left a complaint form saying that we thought it was dishonest of the Reception staff to take our booking, made the previous day, when they must have known that the other function would be taking place. Also, we thought that 15EUR per head for breakfast was a bit steep, and should have been included in the room rate. Good room service.
