The staff is very helpful and the ambience great although a bit faded. We had what was apparently the best room in the Hotel (room 506 - corner top floor) as it is featured in the hotel brochure. But we could not lower one window shutter (the mechanism was not there) and the shower pipe was broken, although still usable. We had a safe and a fridge - very useful. The Hotel has a faded elegance of the past, and needs badly some LTC and money spent to refurbish. We did not eat in the Hotel: with so many restaurants in and around Nice you are spoilt for choice. Fab food! The noise from the Promenade can be a problem. Being on the top floor helped a lot. What a view!
