We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is safe, clean, and the buffet breakfast was a good start for the day. The Manager was a wonderful person, made it a point to meet every visitor - had a wealth of local knowledge. One of the high points of this hotel was its location - very close to all the places of interest in Istanbul. The staff were extremely polite, very helpful, so honest. I would certainly recommend stay at this hotel.

I had a bit of difficulty finding the hotel. From the moment I arrived the staff where friendly & helpful. I was booked in, in no time at all with no lengthy procedures and the efficiency of the staff very obvious. The room was very clean & I had sufficient space( I booked a double room as I had read on other reviews that the rooms where very small)This was more than adequate with only the shower being very small. The towels where as white as snow. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was clean, I had enough packing space. The hotel was quiet and I only became aware of other hotel guests at breakfast. Breakfast is in the typical Turkish style. Breads, cheese, olives and yogurt on offer. Quality and freshness never at doubt. Breakfast is served on the roof of the hotel & it has the best view you can hope for, looking out over the adjoining mosque (remember to take your camera to breakfast) The location is conveniently close to most of the main tourist attractions. You can easily find a taxi from there or take the Metro (Tramcar on the maps); which is only a short walk; access to the port with Ferry's are within walking distance. Shops and restaurants of all sorts are a stones throw away. Should I ever visit Istanbul again, I will gladly book into this hotel again. I experienced above average accommodation & service at a very reasonable price.

Great Location. Equidistant from Sirkesi (dock/bridge to other side), and agia sofia/blue mosque. Right next to topkapi and cistern. Good Service. Pleasant Staff. No problems during stay. V Clean. Nice room. Nice view. Nice Terrace. Good Tea. Would stay again. Rima

What a great location! View of Hagia Sophia and even the very small Zeynep Sultan Mosque are beathtaking. You could not ask for a more convenient location to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Cistern, Hippodrome, Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar. Hotel staff were very helpfull and courteous, especially the owner who was on site every day. Rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. Overall a wonderful experience and we are already talking about another trip to Istanbul and a stay at the Zeynep Sultan! Thanks so much!

The Zeynep Sultan is a modest hotel but has some quality touches . Staff were friendly and always helpful. And what a location! In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would unhesitatingly return.

Owner, Abraham, was friendly, courteous, informative and hospitable. The staff was also. The room was exceptionally clean and the location could not be beat. If I was forced to give a recomendation it would be to replace the hard beds. The free transportion either from or to the airport was a very nice bonus! My experience could not have been better.

Excellent management and staff. Absolutely beautiful breakfast room and terrace looking onto the Hagia Sophia. Perfect location. Room was small but clean; air conditioner worked well.

The staff were so helpful and friendly that it was a pleasure to stay at the Zeynep Sultan. In addition to this, the public transport is within easy walking distance as are some fabulous restaurants. Very pleasant decor with good views from window.

There should be a free pick-up service from the airport, but there was nobody waiting for me and after waiting for 30 mins, I had to take a taxi The tiled room floor is very cold in winter. As Turkey is a place for carpet, the hotel should provide some carpets in the room

Being originally Turkish and had lived in Istanbul for 6 years, our experience with Zeynep Sultan Hotel was simply great! Everything was at least as good as how it was stated in other comments written on this website with the hotel, its owner and staff. It is located only 5 min. walking from Sultan Ahmet Square where some of the most beautiful monuments are located such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Cistern Basilica. So, especially first time visiters, on the first days of your trip to the city, you can have a good morning sleep without rushing and still enjoy your day to its best extent on this historical part of the city. On its terrasse you can have your morning coffee with a view on Haghia Sophia and you can easily reach to other parts of the city with using public transportation. The service is not only friendly but also correct. The staff welcomes you with a true smile and if you may have any questions/needs they do their best to comfort you during your stay. The whole hotel building and rooms are neat and clean. Lastly, the quality/price ratio is excellent. If you may find a place to stay there, you shouldn't spend your time looking for other alternatives. Rooms were quite small but as we almost didn't spend any time in our room rather than sleeping, it didn't bother us at all. Even I can say that we were happy with our small room as it was clean and neat each time we were back from outside.

Nothing fancy but clean. Shame about the view. Arriving late, we got a room in the basement with a view of the teeny court yard :-(

Located at a very peaceful place, though at a few minutes distance from the main sightseeing places of Istanbul Not very big, but you don't need much space when you are walking throughout the day all over the city. Quite satisfactory.

The hotel staff were amazingly friendly. Some of the nicest people we have met. They really made our stay extra special.

The hotel provided free internet access unlike other, far more expensive, hotels we have stayed at in Istanbul and other cities. The fact that they provided a free pick up from the airport was a major plus. The owner of the hotel was friendly and offered advice on places to visit - we are glad though that we didn't take his advice against hiring a car and driving in Turkey outside of Istanbul. The room was a little small but we weren't expecting nor did we need a large room. Our first night we were in a room near reception which was a little noisy but the staff willingly moved us to another, quieter room for the rest of our stay.

May not be a bad idea to vary the breakfast a bit, it is exactly the same every day. It is good but after two days would be nice to change. Most staff were good but one distinctly had bad mood and was not too friendly.
